Early Care Nutrition Consultation :

 

Our Dietitian/Nutritionists are experts in early care nutrition and best practices. We can offer various services to child care centers in numerous ways. We have provided consultation services to child care centers for over ten years in these expert areas:

  • Compliance, assistance, and support with Head Start Performance Standards

  • Knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations; NAYCE Accreditation Review and provide input on menu support

  • Menu analysis and menus cycles that meet all regulatory and nutrition standards for young children

  • Participate in the Health Services Advisory Committees for Head Start

  • Review nutritional needs assessment (documentation and complete observation) and recommend and refer for the appropriate course of action. 

  • Provide professional development on best practices for nutrition and physical activity to employees in early care nutrition

  • Support education staff in implementing nutritional activities that are incorporated into the classroom. Including developing teaching gardens to expand and meet curriculum guidelines.

  • Present nutritional educational activity/training to families as needed aligning with our health practices. 

  • Provide individual and/or group nutritional counseling to families based on assessments. 

  • Develop, review, modify and evaluate menus to ensure the meal program meets the nutritional needs and individual nutritional needs of each child are met. Menus will be reflective of cultural preferences and food allergy needs.

School Nutrition Education & Policy Support to Traditional and Non-Traditional Schools/RCCI

 

Our staff includes a former teacher as well as a credentialed nutritionist to support your school-wide needs. We continue to provide consultation to RCCI’s in Atlanta in both clinical and food service support to meet national credentialing (Joint Commission) and school nutrition guidelines. We have successfully performed the following tasks:

  • Compliance, assistance, and support with wellness policies and school nutrition reviews

  • Menu analysis and review that meet USDA regulatory and nutrition standards

  • Participate in the School Wellness Committees and provide support in wellness policy goals,

  • Review nutritional needs assessment

  • Provide professional development to employees in early care nutrition

  • Support education staff in implementing nutritional activities that are incorporated into the classroom. Including developing teaching gardens to expand and meet curriculum guidelines.

Corporate Employee Wellness :

 

Our Nutritionist can be available to your company on demand. We offer health coaching to employees in both an individual and group setting. For onsite nutrition services, we attend employee health fairs, conduct lunch & learns with cooking demonstrations, and remote coaching using video chat and webinars. We can tailor the nutrition education package to cover any disease condition that you feel is a priority for your company to reduce.
