Rock Your Guac

It's Cinco de Mayo, and you want to add something special to the celebration. Guacamole is a dip that is both healthy and delicious. This easy to make dish can make snacking both quick and simple. You may be surprised to hear that you can add different ingredients to a basic guacamole recipe to change up and enhance its flavor. Below is a simple guacamole recipe with some surprising combos to differentiate your Guac from everyone else’s. First peel and mash 3 avocados, add the juice of one lime, and course sea salt to taste, then mix in one the following healthy combos.

  • Watermelon: ½ cup small watermelon cubes, ¼ cup crumbled feta,1 jalapeno dice

  • Strawberry-Basil: ½ cup diced strawberries.¼ cup chopped basil

  • Roasted Poblano: 1 poblano (roasted and diced). ¼ cup chopped cilantro

  • Lighter Fair Yogurt : 2 tablespoons yogurt (Greek), 1 medium chopped tomato
